Some of my Favourites

Felt like a lazy post to start off 2010, so here it is. Here's an idea I got from boards.ie basically I've picked some of my favourite GAA images. For me, these images sum up all that is good & great about the GAA, the skill, the passion, the emotions, the comradery etc., I'll let the pictures do the talking!.

1) The greatest gets outdone - Christy Ring misses out on a high ball by inches but administers some rough treatment to the Waterford back.

2) Mayo's Conor Mortimer & Dublin's Stephen Cluxton show the true spirit of the game.

3) Kilkenny dynamo Tommy Walsh finds himself in a sticky situation.

4) The son of Kilkenny's goalkeeper James McGarry cries alongside the Liam McCarthy, after the death of his mother, just weeks before the final.

5) A typical full-blooded no-nonsense affair between Clare and Galway. It seems even Eugene Cloonan's hurl won't be enough to stop the determined Colin Lynch.

6) One of his Kerry's midfield maestro's shows us the art of high fielding.

7) Nicky English receives some Munster loving from one of his 'friends' in Cork.

8) Big Dan the passionate Daoise man. Big Dan Shanahan shows some passion after sticking one in the back of the net.

9) The modern-day genius Joe Canning shows us how it's done, as this exquisite sideline cut sails over the bar.

10) If ever there was a place you'd wish not to find your head, this has to be it for Kerry's Paul Glavin.

11) Wexford's proudest son Martin Storey finds defeat a hard pill to swallow.

12) This Tipp player goes about testing the durability of Brian Lohan's helmet.

13) Noel Lane's face tells its own story, as he sprints away on a solo run under pressure from Cork's Denis Walsh.

14) Tipp great John Leahy makes an audacious catch, as a bemused Ollie Baker can only look on.

15) A brave Mayo man enters the Dubs domain...aka Hill 16.

16) Armagh doesn't need Uncle Sam, they've got Kieran McGeeney.

17) The sheer joy of it all, Wexford players and fans alike celebrate their 1996 All-Ireland win.

18) What's the story Martin Storey?, Martin Storey in a pensive mood before going into battle with Wexford.

19) Spidey a true blue all along!.
20) Below - A personal favourite of mine from this year's Championship, just who did put the ball in the Tipp net? Henry, Henry ;)
